Life Story for Dorothy Leslie


Dorothy ‘Dot’ H. Leslie, 95 years, a 62-year resident of Peekskill, passed away on July 8, 2017. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 01, 1921 to Robert A. and Alice D. nee Enggren Huddleston. Dot was a homemaker and a very active member of St. Peters Episcopal Church and the Peekskill/Cortlandt community. She was an active member and past president of the Garden Club of Peekskill, a Master Gardener, and a District and State Flower Show Master Judge. Dot was on the Conservation Committee and was instrumental in the restoration and beautification of the Riverfront Green in Peekskill. She is survived by her son, Alexander Drake (Donna) Leslie, daughters, Darcy Leslie Parson and Jessica Anne Leslie and husband, Scott Moore, and grandchildren: Nigel Moore, Eva Parsons and Dylan Parsons. Her husband, John Leslie, Jr., predeceased her March 12, 2009. The family will receive friends at the E.O. CURRY FUNERAL HOME on Friday, July 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 15th at 10:30 AM at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Peekskill, followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor. Donations to the GARDEN CLUB OF PEEKSKILL; % Marge Trainor; 48 Hewitt St; Lake Peekskill, NY 10537 will be greatly appreciated by the family.
